AEM is a proud supporter and sponsor of Planet Underground’s Roundtable, and several association staff members will be in attendance at the upcoming underground utilities networking event.
Slated for Dec. 4-5 in Manteno, Illinois, the Roundtable will draw dedicated industry professionals from dozens of companies to discuss innovative ideas related to the reduction of both damages and injuries related to underground utility excavation.
“In order to uncover the challenges and areas where equipment manufacturers may be able to help prevent damages in the underground utility industry, we need to have an open and honest dialogue,” said AEM Senior Director of Utility John Somers. “Planet Underground’s Roundtable event is helping to facilitate those conversations. Along with stakeholders understanding their roles, we also need to look at how technology can help improve the safety and efficiency of the overall industry. This is essential in order to maintain today’s aging infrastructure.”
According to event organizer Planet Underground, the Roundtable serves to give voice to influencers looking to impact the underground utility industry. The event is comprised of unscripted conversations involving expert panelists, all of whom take questions from the audience in attendance.
