iPhone 11 specifications
The iPhone 11 could be the most affordable model released this year and is likely to replace the iPhone XR. While reports have suggested that Apple could finally shift to OLED panels for all its iPhones from 2019, the leak suggests that the iPhone 11 could sport a 6.1-inch LCD panel.
Apart from this, the leak also reveals that the iPhone 11 would be powered by the Apple A13 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB, 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
The iPhone 11 is also said to feature a dual-camera setup, with two 12-megapixel snappers. On the front, it could feature a 12-megapixel camera, which should help in improving the quality of portrait shots. The leak also states that it will support Face ID.
Other features of the iPhone 11 could include “bilateral” wireless charging, a feature that would allow wireless charging of the new AirPods directly with the iPhone 11. A 3,110mAh battery is said to power the iPhone 11. However, noted Apply analyst Ming Chi Kuo has claimed that this feature may not be available.
iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Max specifications
The iPhone 11 Pro, despite its ‘Pro’ moniker, could end up being the most compact smartphone of the three with its 5.8-inch OLED display. The display resolution could be 2436 x 1125 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 458ppi.
In terms of performance, the iPhone 11 Pro could be powered by the Apple A13 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM. This would be a first for an iPhone – Apple has traditionally been conservative with respect to the amount of RAM, but this could be changing.
As far as imaging is concerned, the iPhone 11 Pro could feature a triple camera setup on the back with three 12-megapixel cameras. On the front, it could feature a 12-megapixel selfie camera.
Other features of the iPhone 11 Pro could remain the same as those of the standard model. One interesting addition could be Apple Pencil support, which could not only pit the iPhone 11 Pro against the Galaxy Note series, but also start a new stylus war across the smartphone industry.
The iPhone 11 Max, on the other hand, could sport a slightly bigger display and battery.
The iPhone 11 Pro price could start at $999 (approx. Rs 71,800), while the iPhone 11 Max could start at $1,099 (approx. Rs 79,000).
Apple announced iOS 13 beta at its annual WWDC event earlier this year. It is now expected to announce the final version of iOS 13 at the iPhone 11 launch event later today.
Primary highlights of iOS 13 include Sign in with Apple, Dark Mode, two times faster app launches, some India-specific features, including an Indian-English accent for Siri and more.
Apple Watch Series 5
Apple Watch Series 5 is also expected to be launched later today. It will reportedly feature OLED displays sourced from Japan Display, LG and BOE.
The fifth gen Apple Watch is expected to include features like sleep tracking, period tracking and a bigger battery. Apple is also expected to introduce additional health features in Apple Watch Series 5, in a bid to sprint ahead of the competition once again.
