The city of Joplin released a new app earlier this week, and city officials are already seeing the benefits of the new software.
The app is called SeeClickFix and it is primarily used to file complaints or concerns with the city, like if there is a broken street light or a pothole. The app is made to be a one stop shop for anything city related as well.
So residents can pay their bills, look up the city directory, and go to the city’s Facebook page. One of the biggest things that city officials hope will help residents when reporting a problem is the open communication.
“It’s a transparent process and like you can follow it week by week and see how it progresses and see the completion of it,” says David Hertzberg, Public Works Director.
The app is available for Apple and Android devices. And residents can still call or walk-in to city hall if you would rather speak to someone in person.
