Knighthood, King's long-awaited fantasy RPG, launches globally for iOS and Android – Pocket Gamer

King’s long-awaited RPG Knighthood has finally launched globally for both iOS and Android. As was pointed out by PocketGamer.biz, the game has been in soft launch for a whopping 19 months; that’s since July of 2018, if you’d rather not do the maths.

It casts you as a fresh-faced Rage Knight, “born to fight and conquer”. The game is set in a fantastical world of giant monsters and brave knights, and you’ll cement your legacy as one of the greatest warriors of all by crushing your foes and taking on the dark power of Lord Karnon. As a member of the Order of Rage, it is your sworn duty to defend the world, after all.

Rewards for your bravery will be plentiful, with lots of fancy legendary items to collect. Customising and upgrading your character are large parts of the experience, though you’ll also recruit ancient heroes to improve your effectiveness in battle.

By the sounds of it, Knighthood aims to offer a hearty meal of RPG goodness within a polished, mobile-friendly package. You’ll explore towns, delve deep into dungeons, and horde a whole lot of sweet loot.

Combat is all controlled via touchscreen gestures, reminding me a bit of Infinity Blade (RIP). Choosing your gear effectively can help turn the tide of battle, but when all else fails, it’s time to unleash a devastating special ability.

If you’re in need of a greater challenge, there’s the option to take on your fellow players in the PvP arena. Doing so will net you some neat rewards and help you to scale the game’s leaderboards.

If you’d rather work together with others online, perhaps the formation of a guild would be a good idea? These allow you to hone your combat skills by defeating guild bosses with your buddies.

It all sounds like a pretty good time. And after 19 months in early access, I’d imagine it’s all rather flashy, too. If you quite fancy giving it a go, you’ll find Knighthood available for download now as a free-to-play title from both the App Store and Google Play.
