MevoFit Thrust fitness watch review: The Indian fitness market is booming. With many poster boys of the new fit India, the current scenario has opened new opportunities for players in this segment. And, the traditional watches have been replaced by the smart watches and for fitness enthusiasts, the fitness watches. Recently, MevoFit launched its latest fitness watch – the MevoFit Thrust which claims to create an all-in-one choice for fitness enthusiasts in India.
The model is the latest in Mevofit’s fitness and health trackers’ series. It offers advanced features like daily activity tracker, sleep, HR, BP, ECG, PPG, Sports Mode, Timer and Notifications Display. Just like some of the other fitness watches available in the market, the Mevofit Thrust may not come across as the most affordable option to you but serves most needs of a fitness enthusiast.
Light but not so premium
The MevoFit Thrust is available in Big Colour Display and an IP 67 water resistant monitor. It sports a 1.3-inch colour display with 240X240 high-resolution screen. The display montinor comes in almost perfect size and allows you to read every bit of information without stressing too much. Also, Mevofit has done a good job of playing with the colours. On the monitor itself, you get a few elements which do not add to the functionality but enhance the already cool look.
The numbers and icons are large enough and again, Mevofit has done an impressive job with the colours. The watch comes with a lightweight and adjustable strap. This is one of the biggest positives of the Mevofit Thrust as it is really light, something you can feel as soon as you pick it up. So, even if you wear it for the entire day, you will not feel the difference.
One of the first things that you would want with a watch – fitness or usual – is a classic look. This is where Mevofit could have done a better job keeping in mind the needs of all users. Now, I totally understand that Mevofit has not positioned the watch as a product that you could wear to the office but a little work could have been done on the design to strike a balance. The current look makes it ideal for fitness activities, college and school going students but it may not be the most ideal device for business professionals.
Since the watch is slightly on the bigger side, you might have feel discomfort while sleeping but that totally depends on the individual. I didn’t have much trouble here.
Keep a Track, Stay Fit
The watch has been designed and built to help people track their health and fitness on a daily basis. With this watch, you get all the basic features like step counter, sleep tracking, distance tracking, and calorie counting. You can download the Mevofit app and connect it with the watch. This will notify you every time you get a call, message or any other notification from select apps. I have been getting the WhatsApp notifications without any trouble.
The watch can be paired with both Android or iOS smartphones. It also comes with a gesture control screen that works on all popular brands such as Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi Mi, Huawei, Motorola, Lenovo, Oppo, Vivo, One Plus, LG etc. I had the watch connected with my OnePlus device and the experience has been satisfactory.
It comes with four different sport modes – Running, Walking, Climbing and Ridding. You can select one or all the modes depending on your needs. Apart from this, the watch also offers ECG function.
The Mevofit app itself offers a few exciting features to users. There is a dedicated coach section on the app which collects data from your daily activities and suggests a diet plan on the basis of that. It also helps you keep a track of your calorie consumption and tells you the amount of food you need to consume in a day.
There is also a Community section of the app where you can post your queries and can also track the posts of other Mevofit users. You can also check out the Mevofit shop from the app itself and buy their other products.
Competitive Price and Impressive Battery
The MevoFit Thrust price has been set at Rs 9,990. This is a highly competitive price given that most fitness watches cost you a lot more than that. Not having too many options at this price point works in Mevofit’s favour. The watch is available for purchase on Amazon India and Mevofit’s own website.
Coming to the last but one of the most important aspects, you get a highly impressive battery life. I have was able to use the watch for about four days with medium to high usage on single charge. This is a decent output and might vary on the basis of your usage. But, remember that if you have the watch connected to the app, it will drain your smartphone’s battery quicker than usual.
