Bedtimes stories don’t get much better than the latest stories from all your favorite writers at Cult of Mac. And now Microsoft Edge for iOS can read them to you.

The new feature, added in the browser’s latest update, improves accessibility for the visually impaired and those who find it difficult to interact with iPhone and iPad.

Edge might not be the browser of choice for most iOS users, but it is certainly a welcome addition to the App Store for those who spend a lot of time in Windows 10.

And Microsoft has been working hard to make it better with every update, adding features like instant web page translation, the ability to earn Microsoft Rewards points, and more.

Edge’s latest update adds the ability to have websites read aloud.

Let Edge do the hard work on the web

The new feature, which is available only on English pages, works exactly as you would expect.

Simply load up Cult of Mac or another, less interesting site, tap the menu button, then tap Read aloud. Alternatively, select some text then tap the new Read aloud button.

You’ll see some playback controls at the top of the screen, allowing you to pause reading, skip forward, or go back. You can also change reading speed and switch between different voices.

The feature currently only works on English web pages. To enjoy it, download the latest version of Edge from the App Store. It’s completely free.
