NETWORKING NIGHT SHOWS BUSINESS IS BOOMING IN COWES – Island Echo

A much-revitalised Cowes Business Association teamed up with LinkedIn Local to create a memorable night of networking this week, hosted by the association’s member Sir Max Aitken Museum.

Over 100 business people from across the Island, Portsmouth, Southampton and London descended on the Museum for a fabulous evening of informal networking.

In naval tradition, guests were welcomed with a tot of Isle of Wight Distillery’s HMS Victory Navy Strength Rum which was followed by superb wine from Wine Therapy and amazing food from French Franks and Rosalies of Cowes.

Following an introduction from LinkedIn Local IOW curator, Chris Court, there was a short talk from Cowes Business Association chair Jeremy Pocock about their mission to support, encourage and promote their members. Cowes Mayor Lora Peacey-Wilcox also shared her vision for Cowes which included a plan to make the High Street an all-weather venue.

Multimedia guru’s Skinny Mammoth were on site creating an event video. Local venue Northwood House supported the event by offering free parking.
