A new networking event for rising stars in Welsh business has been launched.
The Wales 35 under 35 – from WalesOnline – each year lists those making a hugely positive contribution to the Welsh economy, whether in the private, public educational or third sectors.
And now they can come together to network and share ideas in a new networking initiative exclusively for them.

Each year 35 men and women appear in two separate lists published by WalesOnline and in print in the business section of the Western Mail.

The first Wales 35 under 35 networking event, attended by more than 60, was held at the KuKu Club in Cardiff.

And the aim is to make it a regular event, with speakers drawn from those who have featured on the lists since their launch in 2014.

Editor-in-chief of Media Wales Paul Rowland, who appeared on last year’s list, spoke at the event.

He said: “The Wales 35 under 35 demonstrates the huge array of talent we have in Welsh business, as well as in the public, education and third sectors.
“So it seemed a natural step to launch an event, where those who have appeared on the various lists since 2014 can come together to network, share ideas and potentially spark new collaborations too, in a very informal and relaxed enviironment.”

The 2017 WalesOnline Wales 35 under 35 lists will be published in July.
