No other nation spends more time on mobile apps than Brazilians -survey – The Rio Times

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazil is the country with the highest dwell time on mobile apps. According to a survey by App Annie, Brazilians spend more than five hours per day using apps on their smartphones, a 30% growth in the last two years. Other countries such as Indonesia, Turkey, and Russia also saw significant increases over the same period.

The data comes from a report presented by the consulting firm on Thursday (15). In first place in the global ranking, the study points out that Brazilian users spend more than five hours per day using mobile apps. From the second quarter of 2019 to the same period in 2021, the country’s indicator increased by 30%.

Besides Brazil, only one place has exceeded the five hours of daily usage mark: Indonesia. The Asian country appears in second place, having grown up to 35% in the last two years. It is followed by India, South Korea, Mexico, Turkey, Japan, and Canada, each with more than four hours of usage.

Other countries also saw significant growth in Q2 2021. In Russia, for example, users are spending 45% more time on apps compared to Q2 2019. The same is true for those living in Turkey, where growth is 40% over the same period.

The graph also refers to other countries where users spend more than three hours per day on apps on average. The highlight is the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia, with the highest results in this group. In order, the list is completed by Argentina, Australia, France, Germany, and China.

The second quarter also brought good results for developers. “The global app market once again set a new spending record,” it said. “At us$34 billion, the second-quarter total was about us$7 billion higher than the second quarter 2020 total and US$2 billion higher than the first quarter 2021 total.”
