Telegram creator Pavel Durov considers the monopoly of Apple and Google to be more dangerous than the blockade on Twitter.
This was stated, answering the question of whether it can guarantee that Telegram, in a situation similar to that which arose with Parler, remains available.
He said that in terms of choosing between Apple and Google services, it is better to switch from iOS (the operating system for iPhones and other Apple devices) to Android.
“Apple is the more dangerous of the two, because you can completely restrict the applications you use, while on Android you can install programs yourself via the APK,” Durov wrote.
He also added that the Telegram team continues to work on a multifunctional web application for Safari, which should help iPhone users to use the messenger even if they are blocked in the App Store.
Note that now on iPhones and other Apple devices, you can download apps only through the App Store.
We will remember, earlier, the social network Parler, which became popular with Trump’s followers after it was blocked on Twitter, was removed from the App Store and Google Play.
In addition, Amazon decided to disconnect the social network from its cloud service for 24 hours.
