Oakland County Sheriff’s officials have released surveillance images of a suspect wanted in connection with attacking a man and stealing his iPhone at a downtown Pontiac bus stop.
A McLaren Oakland Hospital medical resident was near a bus stop at 10 Water Street about 2:20 p.m. Oct. 23 when the suspect approached him on a BMX-style bike with red rims, investigators said in a statement.
The suspect “repeatedly punched him and robbed him of his iPhone 11,” according to the release. “The victim suffered extreme injuries which required surgery to his jaw and had to have his mouth wired shut.”
Authorities described the suspect as 18-20 years old, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a pink, hooded sweatshirt with a black design on the front, dark sweatpants, flip flops and a black backpack.
