Istanbul, Turkey – February 7, 2019 – Gaming Istanbul 2019 (GIST) attests to its position of the “gaming bridge of Eurasia” while closing doors of its fourth successful round.
GIST remained open to public from January 31st to February 3rd, 2019 hosting guests in a bigger, brand-new location, The Yenikapi Eurasia Show & Art Center, right next to Hagia Sophia, the Yerebatan Cistern, the Old Palace, and other historical locations from the Byzantine Era.
For the fourth time, the show hosted visitors, developers and companies from all over the world. Consumer show participants included former and new exhibitors: Epic Games, Sony’s PlayStation, HP OMEN, DELL Alienware, Red Bull, EPIN, XDrive, Aral Game, hepsiburada and as many as 50 others. The show has been visited by famous regional influencers such as Deli mi ne? and UnlostTV as well as the Fenerbahçe esport team, Just Dance World’s Champion Umutcan Tütüncü and other celebrities. It also hosted numerous tournaments and competitions like the Fortnite Cosplay Competition, FIFA & PES Tournaments and the GIST 2019 Cosplay Competition.
GIST Developers Conference (GIST I DC) held from January 31st through February 2nd, 2019 comprised three days of panels, discussions, talks and workshops, alongside networking possibilities experiencing the highest international speaker number to date. The conference provided a unique opportunity to meet key industry professionals from the growing MENA region. Highlight talks and panel discussions featured 32 industry leaders from 11bit studios, Microsoft Xbox, Unreal Engine, Google, TabTale and Gram Games as well as the funding presentation by the Turkish government. Overall, more than 2300 trade attendees visited this year and 227 of them used the new meeting system to exchange business ideas.
