COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Second Harvest took their Mobile Market to Coeur d’Alene Thursday.
The non-profit loaded a semi truck with nearly 10,000 pounds of fresh produce, juice, bread, and meat and went to Christ the King Lutheran Church where volunteers handed out emergency food supplies.
Second Harvest says the mobile markets are a great way to get fresh food to people in need.
Second Harvest says one in six people in North Idaho is “food insecure,” meaning they’re not sure where their next meal is coming from.
One in five Idaho children is at risk of hunger.
