The Sharp 7 is actually a rebranded Aquos Sense 3 Lite but comes with less RAM, less storage, and ditches the fingerprint scanner. It also comes with Pure Android (Android 10) and the Google Assistant pre-installed unlike the Sense 3 Lite which runs Android 9 Pie and has Sharp’s Emopa 10.1 pre-installed.

The Sharp S7 has a 5.5-inch IGZO LCD screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080. Sharp says with its IGZO energy-saving display technology, battery life can go up to 1 week.

Sharp says the S7 will receive at least one major update in the 24 months after its launch and will receive 3 years of security updates starting from when it goes on sale. There is no price tag yet but Sharp says it will be released in Japan after mid-December 2019. It will be available in peach, silver, and gray.
