Woman charged with robbery at Metro PC
Odessa police arrested and charged a woman with two counts of robbery and resisting arrest on Saturday in connection with a disturbance at Metro PC.
Police were called the store, located at 2804 Andrews Highway, about a disturbance involving 22-year-old Veronica Delgado. Martinez went inside Metro PC and asked to pay her phone bill, but an employee advised she did not have an account with them, an Odessa Police Department news release stated.
Martinez then exited the store and attempted to steal a sliver BMW, which belonged to a Metro PC employee, the release detailed. When employees confronted her, she reportedly assaulted two of the employees by hitting them in the face and scratching them causing bodily injury.
When officers arrived and made contact with Martinez, she was combative and resisted by pulling away from officers, the release stated.
Martinez was charged, arrested and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
