Xiaomi Redmi 7A reportedly starts receiving Android 10 update – Times of India

Smartphone brand Xiaomi has started rolling out the Android 10 update to the Redmi 7A. The handset, as per users who reported on the Mi forum, is receiving MIUI11 based on Android 10 operating system. According to a screenshot shared in the forum, the update brings software version MIUI to the device.
It also comes with the Android security patch for the month of May 2020. Expected changelog include enhanced system security along with Android 10 features like system-wide Dark Mode, gesture-based navigation and more.
To recall, Redmi 7A was launched in the year 2019 with Android 9 Pie topped with Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 skin. The smartphone comes powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 439 chipset with a clock speed of 2GHz. The handset comes in three colour options- Matte Blue, Matte Gold and Matte Black.
The smartphone is equipped with a 5.45-inch HD+ full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio and is backed by a 4000mAh battery. Users get a single 12MP Sony IMX486 camera sensor at the back. For selfies, Xiaomi Redmi 7A sports a 5MP front camera with AI Portrait mode. Other features available on the device are wireless FM Radio, dual VoLTE capabilities and a dedicated microSD card slot which supports storage expansion up to 256GB.
